# Amidst the shadow of war, Cathie Wood bought $20 million worth of MELI and sold $2 million worth of KSPI today.

Nasdaq up +0.36%, S&P 500 up +0.04%

First, wishing everyone a happy Lantern Festival. I arrived at the office very early today, and the property management on the first floor thoughtfully gave me tangyuan, four with sesame filling—not too many, not too few, just right to finish. It feels like a signal to officially end the Lunar New Year celebrations.

The biggest news over the weekend was the Iran war. They really know how to pick their timing, avoiding Monday through Friday and choosing the weekend. But clearly, there wasn't a major crash last night. Pre-market was fluctuating, the defense sector surged, so I bought some NVIDIA pre-market and sold near the high, a short-term arbitrage play. However, I'm still quite far from breaking even.

Cathie Wood bought $20 million worth of MELI, $950k of NTLA, $370k of GENB, and $2.3k of SLMT today. Last Friday, she bought about $20 million worth of KTOS, and this time she made a killing.

She sold $2.6 million of VCYT, $2 million of KSPI, $1.7 million of NXDR, $650k of PD, $47k of VEEV, and $38k of CRM.
