description: "Sharing my recent move: automating the CAN SLIM rules using openclaw + Longbridge skill. There's a classic stock selection framework online called O'Neil's CAN SLIM. Seven letters, seven criteria. Institutions have used it for decades, but retail investors can't remember it all in their heads, and manual screening is too tiring. Every day before the market opens, the machine screens the entire market for me and outputs 3–5 stocks. Out of O'Neil's original seven rules, I take the three most core ones: The original criteria I translated into the filter C: Quarterly EPS growth YoY > 20%, Recent earnings report net profit growth > 20% N: New product / New management / New high price, Stock price near 52-week high (within 5%) M: Market trend is upward, The broader market (SPY) is above the 50-day moving average. When all three conditions are met → selected. Real example from the run Last week, the system automatically selected a stock: ARM — earnings growth of 45%, stock price only 2% away from the 52-week high, and SPY was above its 50-day line at the time. 5 trading days after selection, it rose 11%. It's not this strong every time. Another selected stock, MRNA, under the same conditions, traded sideways for two weeks after selection. The win rate isn't 100%, but the logic is self-consistent: fundamental + technical + market, three layers of filtering. Why couldn't retail investors do this before? O'Neil's stuff is everywhere online. But to actually execute it: Checking earnings growth: you have to flip through hundreds of stocks. Calculating the 52-week high: you have to compare manually. Judging the market trend: you have to decide daily. It's not that the framework is difficult, it's the high execution cost. What WorkBuddy does is link these three steps together: Calling the Longbridge API to get data → Automatically comparing against the rules → Outputting results. I don't need to write code, just write the rules in Chinese. The core value is one sentence: Turning a proven stock selection framework from "remembering in your head" to "running automatically." No predictions, no gut feelings, no chasing news. Gives you a list of targets every day before the market opens, you just need to decide whether to buy or not."
