# CLI has new features again! Moving from "viewing holdings" to "understanding your money" and now to "understanding companies + understanding the market"!

In the last update, we helped CLI "understand your money" — portfolio profit/loss, institutional holdings, and insider transactions at a glance.

In this update, we've taken our investment research capabilities a big step forward: **21 new command**s added, covering three major modules — company fundamentals, market data, and account functions 🚀

Additionally, this update adds Windows support and CDN acceleration; now, we support the update command on Windows!

You can now do all of these directly in your terminal:

- 🏢 Research a company's fundamentals: founding date, employee count, IPO price, executive team, business review, subsidiary structure
- 💎 Assess whether it's expensive or cheap: industry PE/PB/EPS/dividend yield comparison, percentile rank for quick positioning
- 📈 See what's truly driving index moves: constituent stocks sorted by price change, see who's lifting the index and who's dragging it down
- ⚡ Catch market anomaly signals: unusual volume spikes, sharp price movements — discover opportunities without constantly watching the screen
- 💰 Manage your own profit/loss with precision: per-stock P&L analysis, individual trade history, filter by market

Below is a summary table showing all the new commands, followed by five specific commands with usage scenarios.

Command Scenario Demonstrations

industry-valuation — Industry Valuation Comparison

What problem does it solve?

Looking at a single stock's P/E ratio of 30x doesn't tell you whether it's expensive or cheap. Valuation only becomes meaningful when compared against its industry.

Use cases:

A stock has dropped 30% and you want to bottom-fish? First check whether it's still expensive relative to its industry

Choosing between several stocks in the same industry: compare which ones are overvalued and which are undervalued

Command example:

longbridge industry-valuation $Alibaba(BABA.US) # View market cap/current price/PE/PB/EPS/dividend yield

longbridge industry-valuation dist $Alibaba(BABA.US) # View percentile rank

Investment value:

Avoid looking at valuation metrics in isolation, and provide an industry benchmark for buy/sell decisions. A percentile rank \> 80% suggests overvalued, < 20% suggests undervalued.

corp-action — Corporate Actions History

What problem does it solve?

Stock splits, dividends, and rights issues directly affect shareholder equity. Without knowing the history, you can't judge whether a company is shareholder-friendly.

Use cases:

Planning to hold a stock long-term? First check whether its dividend history is stable

Company suddenly announces a rights issue? Review the performance of similar past actions

Command example:

longbridge corp-action $NVIDIA(NVDA.US)

Investment value:

Stable dividends → healthy cash flow, shareholder-friendly

Frequent secondary offerings → potential ongoing share dilution, requires caution

constituent — Index Constituent Analysis

What problem does it solve?

Index movements are often driven by a few heavyweight stocks. Looking only at the index return doesn't tell you the true market structure.

Use cases:

The index is up sharply but your portfolio hasn't moved — find out which stocks are driving the index

Screen for the strongest/weakest stocks within an index on a given day

Command example:

longbridge constituent $Hang Seng Index(HSI.HK) --sort change\_percent

Investment value:

See through index moves to understand the contribution of individual constituents, avoiding misleading interpretations from the headline index return.

anomaly — Market Anomaly Monitoring

What problem does it solve?

You can't watch the screen 24/7, yet abnormal price/volume movements are often the most important trading signals.

Use cases:

During daily reviews, quickly scan for unusual movements in the market

Discover potential opportunities or risks not in your watchlist

Command example:

longbridge anomaly

Investment value:

Systematically capture market anomaly signals and reduce screen-watching costs. Anomalies are signals "worth investigating" — it's recommended to combine with commands like `company` or `operating` to further diagnose the cause.

profit-analysis — Per-Stock Profit/Loss Analysis

What problem does it solve?

Your overall account might be profitable, but you don't know which stocks are making money and which are losing money. Adjusting your portfolio based on gut feeling often makes things worse.

Use cases:

During weekly reviews, quickly identify the main profit drivers and loss sources

When considering reducing positions, first check which stocks are consistently dragging down returns

Command examples:

longbridge profit-analysis # P&L summary + per-stock breakdown

longbridge profit-analysis detail $NVIDIA(NVDA.US) # Single-stock P&L details + trade history

longbridge profit-analysis by-market US # Filter by market

Investment value:

Overall profitability ≠ every trade profitable. Breaking down to individual stocks and individual trades is the only way to make precise portfolio adjustments.
