Especially against the backdrop of a certain see-saw relationship between MRVL, AVGO, and LITE, capital will re-evaluate the pricing elasticity and certainty of each link in the industrial chain. If it weren't for the current valuation level, the logic itself might hold; but with Citi already setting a $1100 target price, the silicon photonics direction being fully traded, and manufacturers like Dongda Guang lowering the industry cost curve through non-traditional technology paths and cost-reduction solutions, the foundation for EML-related assets to continue enjoying extremely high valuations is weakening. The problem now is not "whether there is growth," but whether the growth is sufficient to support valuations that have already been front-loaded. Once the market begins to realize that EML's technology premium, profit margin premium, and scarcity premium may all be eroded by silicon photonics solutions and low-cost competition, it will be difficult for this price to be maintained by narrative alone."
