Organized by Flyover Kai Tak, title sponsored by Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance, and fully supported by Kai Tak Sports Park, the "Little Fencing Prodigy" Training Program is the largest fencing selection and training activity in Hong Kong, aiming to nurture the new generation of fencers in Hong Kong. The program was first held at Kai Tak Sports Park last year, successfully discovering many promising young fencers and providing them with a year and a half of advanced training, injecting new energy into Hong Kong's fencing scene. This year, the program is once again title sponsored by Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance, with participation slots increased to 1,000, allowing more children the opportunity to receive professional fencing training. The program continues to invite Mr. Lam Yin Chung, former Hong Kong fencing team sabre Olympic representative and double bronze medalist at the Asian Games, to serve as Head Coach, leading the coaching team to provide professional guidance and ensure the quality and continuity of the training. The first phase of the "Little Fencing Prodigy" Training Program 2026, the Selection Day and Kick-off Ceremony, was successfully held at the Kai Tak Sports Arena on April 26. Following the enthusiastic response to last year's event, this year's 1,000 slots include members of the Chow Tai Fook Life ‧ Lifestyle Circle, while continuing to provide full subsidies for students from grassroots backgrounds. Primary school students aged 8 to 11 from Kowloon City District, Kwun Tong District, Wong Tai Sin District, and Yau Tsim Mong District are invited to participate, giving more children the chance to experience fencing. The two-year training is divided into five stages, adopting an elimination-based training and competition model to discover promising little fencing prodigies. Outstanding participants will be promoted to advanced training and have the opportunity to connect with the training and competition programs for professional athletes in Hong Kong. The selection competition features ten fencing test zones, allowing participants to undergo physical fitness tests, challenge themselves, and discover their potential. Chow Tai Fook Life also specially set up interactive experience zones, including "Aerial Fencing Challenge," "Fencing Card Collection Photo Studio," and "AR 360° Fencing Champion Stage," encouraging parents and children to immerse themselves in the passion for sports and personally experience the unique charm of fencing.
