# SpaceX Files Prospectus; TSLA's Supervised FSD to Enter China | Daily News Recap

## 0521 | **Dolphin Research Focus**

## **🐬 Stocks**

**1.**$SpaceX(SpaceX.NA)

SpaceX has filed an S-1 with the SEC to list on Nasdaq (ticker SPCX), targeting a $1.75tn–$2.0tn valuation and up to $75bn in proceeds, which could make it the largest IPO on record. In Q1 2026, it posted revenue of $4.69bn and a net loss of $4.28bn, with AI still in the heavy investment phase. The company will adopt a dual-class structure, with Elon Musk holding Class B shares for 85.1% voting control, marking a capitalization milestone that reinforces its ecosystem lead in satellite internet, launch services and AI compute, and could reshape the global aerospace industry over time.

**2.**$Meta Platforms(META.US)

Meta has begun global layoffs, cutting ~8,000 roles (~10% of staff), closing 6,000 planned openings, and reallocating 7,000 employees to AI-related teams. Mark Zuckerberg said in an internal memo there will be no company-wide layoffs for the remainder of the year, while targeted team adjustments are not ruled out. The reorg prioritizes cost efficiency and an AI pivot to counter slowing social growth, which may lift margins near term, but the key will be AI ROI; longer term, Meta is evolving from a social giant into an 'AI-first' company amid intensifying competition.

**3.**$CHINA MOBILE(00941.HK)

China Mobile launched nationwide token-based compute plans that unify model consumption under a standardized 'token' metric, starting from RMB 5 per month for individuals and SMBs. The plans integrate with cloud PCs/phones and support AI apps such as Tencent WorkBuddy. As the first nationwide AI compute product for consumers from a domestic carrier, this marks scaled rollout of a 'token economy', lowering usage barriers, driving mass-market compute consumption, and supporting the proliferation of local LLMs and commercialization of compute infrastructure.

**4.**$XPENG-W(09868.HK)

XPeng launched the GX on May 20, a full-size AI flagship SUV available in BEV and EREV versions with a limited-time offer starting at RMB 269,800. The BEV version offers up to 750km range, while the EREV delivers 430km CLTC pure-electric range, and features four Turing AI chips (3,000 TOPS) and a fully in-house steer-by-wire chassis. Positioned to drive XPeng upmarket against Li Auto L9 and Aito M9 with 'physical AI' differentiation, the pricing looks compelling and could lift sales and brand perception, though execution on deliveries and user feedback will be critical in a crowded premium segment.

**5.**$BOE(000725.SZ)

BOE announced a three-year MOU with Corning to collaborate on glass-based substrates for advanced packaging, foldable glass, perovskite substrates and optical interconnects. Corning is a global specialty-glass leader with a 20-year partnership history with BOE. The work targets substrates for AI chip advanced packaging and next-gen display and compute interconnect; the tie-up strengthens BOE’s positioning in semiconductor materials and advanced display, accelerates commercialization of new biz., and the shares hit limit-up today as the market prices in long-term growth potential.

**6.**$Applied Materials(AMAT.US) $Broadcom(AVGO.US)

Applied Materials announced that Broadcom has joined its EPIC (Equipment & Process Innovation Center) platform as an innovation partner focused on advanced chip packaging R&D. EPIC is a $5bn program bringing together TSMC, Samsung, Micron and others to accelerate breakthroughs in 3D packaging and heterogeneous integration for AI chips. As a systems design leader, Broadcom will pair its capabilities with AMAT’s tools and materials to shorten R&D cycles.

**7.**$AMD(AMD.US)

AMD said the next-gen Epyc 'Venice' processors will move to TSMC’s 2nm (N2) process on Zen 6, targeting HPC and AI workloads. N2 delivers ~1.15x density vs. 3nm, 24%–35% lower power and ~15% higher performance. As the first server CPU on TSMC’s 2nm, Venice doubles core counts with materially better efficiency, strengthening AMD’s data center position.

**8.**$Tesla(TSLA.US)

Tesla announced on X that FSD Supervised is now available in China and 10 other countries, with drivers required to remain fully attentive. After delays tied to data compliance, Tesla’s Shanghai AI training center enables local data storage and training to meet regulatory requirements. The China version is branded TAD with a subscription model and will first support HW4.0 vehicles.
