US core PCE (Personal Consumption Expenditures) price index for April increased 0.2% month-over-month, estimate was 0.3%. US stocks continued to open higher and rise, with most large-cap tech stocks gaining. Arm surged over 10%, AMD surged over 4%, both hitting all-time highs. Oracle rose over 6%.

Pre-market, NASA fell over 4% due to a violent explosion during a hot-fire test of Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin's "New Glenn" rocket. Videos are available online, and these space-related stocks all hit the brakes, especially ASTA which fell over 14%. This explosion dragged down sentiment. Failure is normal; Elon Musk failed many times before succeeding.
