# Volatility in large-cap tech stocks

Last night, the Nasdaq rose 0.46%, while my portfolio fell 0.12%, mainly due to the sharp drops in Google and Microsoft. Fortunately, the combined position of these two leading stocks is only 10%. (Google has already fallen more than 10% from its high; if you are bullish on Google in the long term, you can start building a small position.)

At the time, I thought around 298 was the peak, wanting to keep some ammunition, and not knowing whether it would rise or fall, so I bought Nasdaq ETFs with a large position. After buying, I was uneasy, but the Nasdaq kept hitting new highs, seemingly never looking back.

I used to frequently ask AI for technical indicators to buy individual stocks, but now I just lie flat. It's not too late to wait until the Nasdaq falls about 10% from its high before making a move.

Quietly waiting for the rose of time 🌹

- **Gene_ · 2026-06-04T23:26:27.000Z**: If it's long-term dollar-cost averaging, there's no need to time the market; just buy and then talk.
