# Overseas Markets | Dow Jones Hits New High, Nasdaq Falls for Fourth Straight Day, Golden Dragon Index Plunges 2.7%

Overnight U.S. stocks showed a mixed performance, with the Dow Jones up 0.14% to set a new record high, the S&P 500 down slightly by 0.01%, and the Nasdaq down 0.46%. Apple's drop of over 6% dragged down tech stocks, while the industrial and healthcare sectors led gains to support the Dow.

The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index fell 2.70%, with Alibaba down 4.74%, Baidu down 3.55%, and Nio down 3.47%. London spot gold returned above $4,000 per ounce, supported by a dollar retreat after PCE data met expectations and bargain-hunting.

CICC stated that the gold bull market is not over and a turnaround is approaching; Goldman Sachs lowered its year-end target price to $4,900 but maintained a constructive medium-term view.
