description: "This round, I'm definitely siding with Micron and other memory stocks. It's not because Micron made me money (I also need low-cost storage to upgrade my equipment). It's because Apple has really been used to throwing its weight around, especially when memory prices didn't rise earlier.Apple has long been selling memory at a premium. The price difference between the 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models can directly cover the cost of a domestic Android phone. The Chinese version itself is a stripped-down model with an even higher gross margin. Now that memory prices are rising, at most, it just brings the premium-priced memory back to regular memory levels. Its gross margin might have decreased at most, but it's not losing money. Apple has always been one of the smartphone manufacturers with the highest gross margins. Now, with memory prices up, to protect its gross margin, it hasn't stood with consumers to get through this tough time together. Instead, it's somewhat encouraging consumers to blame the memory manufacturers for raising prices. However, scarcity drives value. AI infrastructure requires more storage. In the early days, you suppressed profits across the upstream and downstream industries while raising consumer prices, all for more profit, without ever thinking about significantly driving the development of the entire industry chain. So, for memory chip manufacturers, building factories takes an especially long time. What if, after building the factory, the underlying logic of AI changes, and it might not require so much memory? And their own inventory goes from tight production and urgent sales to supply balance or even oversupply. Which scenario offers greater, better profits? Building factories also costs money. When supply is abundant later on, they'll be forced to lower prices again.$Sandisk(SNDK.US)$Seagate Tech(STX.US)$Western Digital(WDC.US)$Micron Tech(MU.US)$Apple(AAPL.US)"

- **小哈同学 · 2026-06-27T06:36:14.000Z**: This is a typical market economy. Others are willing to pay this high price to grab storage goods, but you yourself aren't willing to follow suit, and then you turn around and tell others that he's selling it at an inflated price here. Is there any logic in that?
  - **小哈同学** (2026-06-27T06:37:22.000Z): Let Apple and Xiaomi both fall from their pedestals. Future hardware definitely won't be in the form of the current iPhone Vision Pro. We need more creative companies to lead the future of physical AI
  - **S丨plendid** (2026-06-27T06:48:56.000Z): Cook is just living off the foundation Jobs built. When Jobs was around, the company's focus was definitely on industry leadership and innovation. Nowadays, apart from its system and some other moats,
  - **小哈同学** (2026-06-27T07:29:11.000Z): So Apple is slowly turning into the old Nokia and Kodak. If it continues to rest on its laurels, a disruptive product will definitely come along and crush it directly.
- **keans · 2026-06-26T10:22:10.000Z · 👍 1**: Apple thinks it has strong pricing power.
- **自由的喜欢的富裕的 · 2026-06-26T07:11:11.000Z · 👍 4**: Agreed, I'm also on team storage, Apple is too greedy.
- **新用户_aciiF · 2026-06-26T07:06:50.000Z · 👍 1**: Every giant will have its own premium products, but there will also be products for ordinary consumers. At the same price point, you can choose either Huawei or Apple, but storage has put a lock on ordinary consumers.
- **不要频繁浇花 · 2026-06-26T06:44:01.000Z · 👍 1**: Apple may have long been accustomed to having all its suppliers cater to it.
  - **S丨plendid** (2026-06-26T06:55:20.000Z): A giant should not control the development of all industries, nor should it monopolize industry development.
  - **不要频繁浇花** (2026-06-26T07:17:14.000Z): Yes, he should take the lead and guide the industry forward.
