# Six Major Enterprises Jointly Bid for Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen Area to Fully Support the Development of the Northern Metropolis

On July 3, 2026, the tender for a plot development project in the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area within the Northern Metropolis (the "Hung Shui Kiu plot") closed today. Hung Shui Kiu New Development Limited, a consortium formed by China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. (00688.HK)$CHINA OVERSEAS(00688.HK), China Merchants Land Limited (00978.HK)$CHI MER LAND(00978.HK), China Resources Land (Overseas) Co., Ltd., China Tourism Group Investment Operation Co., Ltd., JD.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: JD and 09618.HK)$JD-SW(09618.HK), and Sino Land Company Limited (00083.HK) themselves or their subsidiaries, announced that it has submitted a bid for the project, demonstrating confidence in the development prospects of the Northern Metropolis and a firm commitment to supporting Hong Kong's long-term development.

The national "15th Five-Year Plan" clearly proposes accelerating the construction of the Northern Metropolis, and the SAR government's first five-year plan also lists the Northern Metropolis as a top priority. The development of the Northern Metropolis will bring important opportunities to Hong Kong and serve as a key driver for future development. This joint bid contributes to the high-quality development of the Northern Metropolis and supports Hong Kong's sustained economic progress.
