Berkshire's three heavy-weight stocks surged, with share prices hitting an 8-month high.
Barron's analysis points out that Berkshire's stock price has significantly underperformed the S&P 500 index year-to-date. This rally has sustained momentum, as the significant gains in the stock prices of its three top holdings—Apple, Coca-Cola, and Bank of America—within the company's investment portfolio have provided support for the stock price.
Among them, Apple, the largest holding, now has a market value exceeding $70 billion, with a YTD gain of over 13%; Coca-Cola, the third-largest holding, has a position size of $35 billion, with its stock price rising 25% this year; Bank of America, the fourth-largest holding, rose over 12% this year.
UBS analysts raised their target price for Berkshire stock and maintained a "Buy" rating, while also upgrading the company's earnings expectations.$Apple(AAPL.US)$Alphabet - C(GOOG.US)
