On the policy front, the "Regulations on the Protection of Layout-Designs of Integrated Circuits" was announced, effective from October 15, 2026. The regulations aim to protect the exclusive rights to layout-designs of integrated circuits, encourage technological innovation in the field, and promote scientific and technological development.

Regarding earnings, AMEC released its semi-annual performance forecast for 2026 on the evening of August 3: it is expected to achieve operating revenue of approximately 6.691 billion yuan in the first half of the year, representing a year-on-year increase of about 34.89%; and to achieve a net profit attributable to shareholders of 2.7 billion to 2.9 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 282.48% to 310.81%.

The Chairman of AMEC stated that the company aims to cover at least 60% of high-end semiconductor equipment within the next five years and to become a top-tier global semiconductor equipment company in terms of scale, product competitiveness, and customer satisfaction by 2035.

A research report from Dongguan Securities pointed out that driven by multiple factors such as sustained high demand for AI computing power and accelerated domestic substitution in key areas, the Shenwan Semiconductor sector achieved significant year-on-year growth in revenue and net profit attributable to shareholders in Q1 2025 and Q1 2026. Profit margins performed better than revenue, indicating improved profitability. AI will remain the core theme for the semiconductor industry in the second half of 2026. Key segments such as semiconductor equipment, high-end GPUs, memory chips, and advanced packaging are still in an accelerated phase of domestic substitution, with continuous strengthening demands for supply chain autonomy and controllability.

The Vanke CSI Semiconductor Materials and Equipment Theme ETF (Exchange-traded abbreviation: Semiconductor Equipment ETF Vanke – 159327) closely tracks the Semiconductor Materials and Equipment Index, focusing on core "bottleneck" links such as lithography, etching, thin-film deposition, cleaning equipment, silicon wafers, and electronic specialty gases. It covers leading companies like NAURA Technology Group and AMEC, making it a pure "shovel seller" index. This index selects 40 listed company securities involved in semiconductor materials and equipment from the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets as index samples, reflecting the overall performance of these companies' securities. Off-exchange investors can also participate through feeder funds (Class A: 023828, Class C: 023829), sharing in the upward trend of the semiconductor industry's prosperity and the dividends of chip localization.
