$MP Materials(MP.US) quietly announced a long-term, nine-figure gadolinium supply agreement with an unnamed U.S. aerospace/defense client.
Who is buying it?
Could it be $SpaceX(SPCX.US)? Boeing? Lockheed Martin? Northrop Grumman? RTX?
Gadolinium has wide applications in the aerospace and defense sectors: including advanced alloys, thermal coatings, radiation/neutron detection, sensors, and specialized optical systems.
Regardless of who the client is, a long-term commitment to U.S.-manufactured gadolinium worth over $100 million is quite a significant deal.
