# How do I transfer shares out of my account?

If you need to move your shares from your Longbridge account to a different financial institution or brokerage, please proceed with the following instructions. 

Step 1. Go to the Longbridge App > *Portfolio* > *More* > *Share Transfer-Out*.

Step 2.  Fill in the information of the receiving broker, including the account name and account number, and then tap on *Next*. Then, fill in the stock information and tap on *Next*.

Step 3. Submit the transfer-out request after confirming the transfer-out details, and it will indicate that your transfer-out request has been made successfully.

Step 4. You can view transfer records and details about the processing progress.

**Q1: How long will it take to complete the stock transfer-out?**

It generally takes 5 to 10 business days to transfer out shares (the transfer time is for reference only and subject to the actual processing time of both brokers). Please be patient as both Longbridge Securities and the other broker will get in touch with each other to make sure there is no issue before the transfer of shares can start.

**Q2: What are the charges for stock transfer-out?**

Generally, the receiving broker waives transfer fees while the transferring broker charges them. Longbridge Securities charges HKD 500 per stock/transfer for transferring out HK stocks and USD 150 per stock/transfer for transferring out US stocks. (Please make sure your account has enough money to cover the transfer costs before starting the transfer.)

## **Notes**

1.  A transfer request only supports transfers under the same name and stock beneficiary changes are not permitted.
2.  Your stock holdings need to be settled before you can submit a transfer-out request.
