# China Index Academy: New home sales in 2025 need to continuously "stop falling and stabilize," with the core being the effective implementation of policies in one go

The China Index Academy stated that in 2025, new home sales need to achieve a transition from a phase of recovery to a sustained "stop falling and stabilize," with the core being that policies must be implemented effectively in one go. Key policies include: accelerating the monetization of the relocation of 1 million urban village renovations, which, based on 100 square meters per unit, could bring about 100 million square meters of residential sales, contributing approximately 10% to the total market volume. Accelerating the implementation of 300 billion yuan in guaranteed housing re-loans to absorb existing housing stock; if the funds are fully utilized, it is estimated that it could leverage 375 billion yuan, potentially driving residential sales exceeding 36 million square meters, accounting for about 4.6% of the total market volume. Additionally, if incremental policies adopt a "subsidy for headcount" approach to increase home purchase subsidies, it could further accelerate the reduction of market inventory
