General Manager of Honghui, Cui Meilan, stated that the Taipei Twin Stars project began construction in 2023 and is expected to be completed by December 2027, with an investment amount reaching NT$ 70 billion. It will be Taiwan's first international-grade twin skyscrapers, with heights of 360 meters and 280 meters respectively. Honghui Group is responsible for the construction management of Taipei Twin Stars. Cui Meilan mentioned that the Taipei Twin Stars Building has a large construction area and is a complex commercial building that includes a shopping mall, office buildings, a hotel, an observation deck, and an art museum, where elevators are an important configuration for serving visitors and tenants. Cui Meilan pointed out that KONE will provide 94 elevators, including 32 smart double-decker elevators and 62 office commercial building elevators. Among them, 18 smart double-decker elevators can travel from the 1st floor to the 68th floor in just 34 seconds, and 4 of them can directly reach the top observation deck, significantly reducing waiting times during peak hours. Regarding the investment amount for Taipei Twin Stars, she stated that the original estimated investment was around NT$ 60 billion, but due to rising raw material and labor costs, it has now increased to NT$ 70 billion. Additionally, the selection for the Taipower CR1 urban renewal project was announced last week, with the "Shanlin Group," composed of Honghui and Aishanlin, obtaining the qualification of the best applicant. Cui Meilan indicated that the contract is expected to be signed in the first quarter of this year. Since the owner is Taipower, one building will be an office building for Taipower, while Shanlin will primarily focus on residential development. The urban renewal project must be completed within 5 years after approval, with an estimated investment scale of NT$ 27 billion.
