# KBC issued a profit warning, expecting a net loss of approximately 690 million yuan for the fiscal year 2024

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, KBC (688598.SH) released its annual performance forecast for 2024. The company expects to incur a net loss attributable to the owners of the parent company of approximately RMB 690 million for the year 2024, compared to the same period last year; it is also expected that the net loss attributable to the owners of the parent company, after deducting non-recurring gains and losses, will be approximately RMB 720 million.

In 2024, due to intensified competition in the photovoltaic industry, supply-demand imbalance, and insufficient operating rates of downstream customers, the demand for photovoltaic thermal fields has decreased, leading to a decline in operating rates and product prices. At the same time, the company, based on the principle of prudence, conducted impairment testing on assets showing signs of impairment and, in accordance with enterprise accounting standards, prudently assessed and recognized an asset impairment loss of approximately RMB 460 million, resulting in a temporary operating loss
