# California officials say Trump will not stop California's clean energy plan

A top energy regulator in California stated on Wednesday that despite President Donald Trump's efforts to block climate action, California's push for economic decarbonization will succeed. "Never underestimate California and what we can achieve, okay?" said David Hochschild, chairman of the California Energy Commission, at the New Energy Finance Summit held in San Francisco. "We will achieve 100% clean energy in California. I am absolutely confident about this."
