# Qiu Yinghua hopes that Hong Kong and Taiwan will strengthen cooperation and exchanges with mainland and "Belt and Road" broadcasting institutions

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Edward Yau, stated today (10th) during the Hong Kong and Taiwan Year of the Snake Spring Reception that he looks forward to continuing to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with mainland and "Belt and Road" broadcasting organizations, showcasing Hong Kong's characteristics as an international metropolis that integrates Chinese and Western cultures and continues to tell the Hong Kong story well.

Edward Yau pointed out that in today's society, information is highly developed, and citizens can obtain information and entertainment through various media; he is pleased that Hong Kong and Taiwan can seize the opportunities of multimedia broadcasting, keep pace with the times, and make good use of the unique advantages of both radio and television services, along with online platforms, to provide different types of high-quality programs for the general public and specific target audiences.

He expressed confidence that Hong Kong and Taiwan will surely innovate with flexible thinking. The 15th National Games, which the whole country is looking forward to, will be held this November, and Hong Kong and Taiwan will fully promote and broadcast the National Games, as well as produce various programs related to the National Games in collaboration with the China Media Group, Guangdong Radio and Television, Guangzhou Radio and Television, and others, to promote the country's high-level competitive sports from multiple perspectives.
