# [Stock Movement] Lenovo surged over 5% to reach a multi-year high, while competitor Super Micro Computer is expected to see strong revenue, causing its stock price to rise sharply after hours

Lenovo ( 00992)'s competitor, Super Micro Computer (SMCI), which is listed in the United States, is expected to far exceed expectations for the fiscal year 2026. The stock price surged after hours, with Lenovo also rising, reaching a high of HKD 12.88, up 5.9%, marking the highest level since May 22, 2015, over 9 years ago. It closed at HKD 12.8, still up 5.3%, with a transaction volume of HKD 1.03 billion.

SMCI announced after the U.S. stock market closed that for the second fiscal quarter of 2025, ending December 2024, it expects net sales to be between USD 5.6 billion and USD 5.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 54%. However, for the fiscal year 2026, net sales are expected to reach USD 40 billion, significantly better than the market expectation of USD 29.2 billion.

In response to the news, SMCI surged 8.4% in after-hours trading.
