Nanjing is the first among pilot cities to release and implement a plan to promote the integrated application of "5G + Industrial Internet."
According to the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Construction of National '5G + Industrial Internet' Integration Application Pilot Cities in Nanjing" has been officially issued and implemented. In November last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the first batch of "5G + Industrial Internet" integration application pilot cities, with Nanjing, Wuhan, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenyang, and Chengdu being selected. Nanjing has taken the lead in issuing the implementation plan, which clearly states that the Jiangning District and Jiangbei New Area will serve as the main core construction areas to cultivate a fully autonomous "5G + Industrial Internet" industrial ecosystem. By the end of 2027, the goal is to achieve a core industrial scale of 350 billion yuan for "5G + Industrial Internet." The "Implementation Plan" specifically includes the pilot deployment of 5G-A millimeter-wave base stations, the establishment of a millimeter-wave sensing integration application base; support for key technology breakthroughs in sensing integration, 6G + AI, etc.; the large-scale application of 5G + Beidou; support for enterprises to carry out 5G factory construction based on large-scale equipment renewal actions, and support for enterprises to conduct digital diagnosis and 5G factory certification; focus on four major characteristic industries: new power equipment, electronic information, steel, and petrochemicals, to carry out key cultivation actions for "5G + Industrial Internet"; expand the application of "5G-A + AI" technology in scenarios such as low-altitude logistics, vehicle networking, and autonomous driving, etc
