According to Chinese media outlet Hongxing News, during this year's Spring Festival, the "Hangzhou News Broadcast" utilized AI anchors for reporting, achieving zero errors during the broadcast, which surprised many Chinese netizens with the AI anchor's performance being similar to that of a real person. Amid the wave of AI, many media organizations in China, from state media CCTV to local media, have launched AI anchors. For example, during the National Two Sessions in March 2024, CCTV's financial new media recreated AI anchors Xiao Dong and Xiao Tian based on CCTV hosts Meng Zhandong and Guo Ruotian, who answered various questions at the anchor desk during the sessions.
