The Ministry of Water Resources held a conference on rural water conservancy and hydropower work

On February 18-19, the Ministry of Water Resources held a rural water conservancy and hydropower work conference in Liu'an City, Anhui Province, to summarize the work for 2024, analyze the situation and tasks, and deploy key work for 2025. Vice Minister of Water Resources Zhu Chengqing attended and spoke at the meeting. The meeting required focusing on the high-quality development of rural water supply, comprehensively promoting the "3+1" standardized construction and management model for rural water supply, and consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation in rural water supply. It emphasized the five institutional systems for agricultural water conservation and efficiency improvement, accelerating the transformation of irrigation and drainage engineering systems, and building digital twin irrigation areas to comprehensively enhance the management and service guarantee capabilities of irrigation areas. It highlighted green development, strengthened safety supervision, promoted the implementation of ecological flow, consolidated the results of classified rectification, and continuously advanced the green transformation and modernization of small hydropower.
