# Wang Bohua from the Photovoltaic Industry Association: The export volume of battery cells and modules will increase in 2024

At the seminar on the review of the photovoltaic industry's development in 2024 and the outlook for 2025 held today, Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, stated that the export value of photovoltaic products will continue to decline in 2024, with varying increases and decreases in export volumes across different segments. Specifically, the export volume of silicon wafers has decreased, while the export volumes of battery cells and modules have increased. However, there are widespread structural opportunities in the export market, with the top ten markets for module exports maintaining a share of 62%. The number of markets with export volumes exceeding 1GW has increased from 29 in 2023 to 38, with the Asian market, particularly Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, becoming the biggest highlights. "Companies' overseas layouts need to focus on strategic aspects, including upstream and downstream collaboration for overseas expansion and diversified overseas capacity layout strategies."
