The Shanghai Composite Index rebounded from a low, rising 0.23%, with a total market turnover exceeding 2 trillion yuan
The A-share market saw a rebound after hitting a low throughout the day, with the three major indices showing mixed results. The consumer sector experienced a collective surge, with food and retail sectors leading the gains. Over a dozen stocks, including Zhongbai Group, Dongbai Group, Chongqing Department Store, Haoxiangni, Zhuangyuan Pasture, and Jiahe Food, hit the daily limit. Brokerage stocks surged in the closing minutes, with China Galaxy hitting the daily limit and reaching a historical high, while CICC rose nearly 7%. On the downside, sectors related to high-speed copper connections and CPO saw weakness, with Bochuang Technology dropping over 10%. More stocks fell than rose, with over 3,200 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets showing declines. Today's trading volume reached 2.04 trillion yuan. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.23%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.26%, and the ChiNext Index dropped 0.52%
