The Ministry of Natural Resources is brewing technical specifications for the security protection of data transmission for intelligent vehicle basic maps

The safety issues of intelligent vehicles have recently attracted significant attention. As a core support, the collection and transmission of key data such as high-precision geographic coordinates and real-time high-definition images have become an important foundation for ensuring the safe operation of vehicles. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, in accordance with the procedural requirements and planned arrangements for formulating industry standards in the natural resources sector, the Ministry has organized relevant units to develop 15 industry standards, including the "Technical Specifications for the Security Protection of Basic Map Data Transmission for Intelligent Vehicles," which have been reviewed by the National Geographic Information Standardization Technical Committee. On April 2, the draft for approval has begun to be publicly announced on the Ministry of Natural Resources' official website. The draft indicates that the China Academy of Surveying and Mapping, Huawei Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Yitu Technology Co., Ltd., Baidu Zhitu Technology Co., Ltd., and AutoNavi Software Co., Ltd. participated in the drafting of this document
