# Guangxi's installed power generation capacity exceeds 100 million for the first time, with new energy accounting for over 40%

On April 15th, reporters learned from the Guangxi Power Grid Company of China Southern Power Grid that with the successful integration of the No. 12 wind turbine of the 220 kV Pubai Zhuangling Wind Farm project into the main power grid of Guangxi, the installed power generation capacity in Guangxi has surpassed 100 million kilowatts, reaching 100.004 million kilowatts. Among all types of power sources, the installed capacity of renewable energy has reached 45.238 million kilowatts, accounting for 45.7%. Data from the Guangxi Power Grid shows that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the annual growth rate of renewable energy installed capacity in Guangxi has exceeded 41%, gradually forming a new pattern of synchronous development of centralized and distributed energy, with onshore wind power continuously extending to offshore wind power. As of now, the power generation structure in Guangxi consists of thermal power, hydropower, nuclear power, and renewable energy, accounting for 28.4%, 19%, 4.5%, and 45.7% respectively. Renewable energy has become the largest energy source in Guangxi's installed capacity and the main incremental power source. As an important hub of the new land-sea corridor in western China and a key channel for "West-to-East Power Transmission," Guangxi has actively accelerated the construction of a national comprehensive energy security guarantee area in recent years, continuously deepening the transformation of the energy structure, and speeding up the establishment of a modern energy system that is clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient, forming a provincial power grid that includes various power sources such as water, fire, nuclear, wind, and solar, with a more comprehensive range of energy types and greener characteristics
