# JP Morgan: Meituan's takeaway business is expected to have a net profit margin of only 2.8% in 2024

Recently, the profit margin of food delivery has become a market focus. According to the global online takeaway industry report published by JP Morgan ("Global Online Takeaway (2024)"), the net profit margin of nine major global food delivery platforms is predicted to be between 1.5% and 3.3% in 2024, with an arithmetic average of 2.2%.

Additionally, according to the JP Morgan report, Meituan's food delivery business is expected to have a net profit margin of only 2.8% in 2024. Combined with previous analysis from Guohai Securities, Meituan's restaurant delivery operating profit margin in Q3 2021 was 3%. (All Weather Technology)
