# To improve the industrial chain layout, Sinofibers plans to invest 1.402 billion yuan to build a high-performance carbon fiber product project

According to the announcement from Sinofibers (300777.SZ), the company's board of directors has approved the proposal for the investment and construction of a high-performance carbon fiber product project, agreeing to invest a total of 1.402 billion yuan using its own funds.

As indicated in the announcement, the project will be located at No. 569 Yulong North Road, Binjiang Economic Development Zone, Xinbei District, Changzhou City. It is expected to have an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of high-performance carbon fiber (including high-strength carbon fiber above T700 grade) and supporting products, expanding the production scale of polyacrylonitrile precursor, carbon fiber, and carbon fiber fabrics, and increasing the supply of high-performance carbon fiber. The construction period for the project is expected to be 36 months.

The announcement states that the construction of this project will significantly enhance the company's autonomous and controllable capabilities in the field of key materials and further improve the layout of the industrial chain
