Baowu Magnesium stated on the interactive platform that magnesium prices have remained lower than aluminum prices for nearly a year, and the penetration of automotive lightweighting continues to accelerate. Die-casting plants are continuously laying out magnesium die-casting, including companies like Xusheng, Wencan, Aikedi, and Meilixin, which are all increasing their magnesium die-casting layouts. Vehicle manufacturers, including SERES, Geely, SAIC, FAW, and GAC, are also increasing the penetration of magnesium products, with SERES's Aito magnesium alloy products being provided by the company, and the single vehicle usage currently exceeding 20 kg. In the future, as large magnesium die-cast parts such as electric drive housings, rear floors, and inner door panels are adopted, the magnesium usage per vehicle is expected to reach 50-100 kg. In terms of product areas, the development of magnesium applications is accelerating in fields such as dashboard brackets, electric drive housings, and rear floors.
