Financial stocks rose, and gold stocks were weak The People's Bank of China today (9th) conducted a 7-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market amounting to 75.5 billion yuan (the same below), with the operation interest rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 98.5 billion yuan of reverse repos matured, resulting in a net withdrawal of 23 billion yuan for the day. The central parity rate of the yuan against the US dollar was reported at 7.1541, down 7 points. The CPI in mainland China rose by 0.1% in June, better than market expectations; however, the PPI fell by 3.6%, which was worse than expected. The three major A-share indices initially rose before retreating. The Shanghai Composite Index turned negative in the afternoon, losing the 3,500-point mark. The index once reached a high of 3,512 points, closing down 4 points or 0.13% at 3,493 points, with a turnover of 596 billion yuan; the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 6 points or 0.06%, closing at 10,582 points, with a turnover of 909.2 billion yuan; the ChiNext Index rose by 3 points or 0.16%, closing at 2,184 points, with a turnover of 435.5 billion yuan.
