Midday Review: The Shanghai Composite Index surged and then retreated, rising 0.20%, breaking through 3,700 points to reach a four-year high, with the digital currency and large financial sectors strengthening
The three major indices showed mixed results. As of the midday break, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.20%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.15%, the ChiNext Index dropped by 0.23%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index decreased by 0.98%. The total transaction volume in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets reached 1.4313 trillion yuan, an increase of 103 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 4,200 stocks in the entire market declined. In terms of sectors, the digital currency and large financial sectors rose, while military equipment and CPO sectors adjusted. On the market, the digital currency sector strengthened across the board, with Guotou Intelligent hitting the daily limit, and several stocks including Hengbao Co., LTD., Zhongke Jincai, and Jingbeifang also hitting the daily limit. The large financial sector rose, with CPIC increasing by over 4% and Changcheng Securities hitting the daily limit. The military equipment sector declined, with Beifang Changlong and Changcheng Military Industry dropping nearly 7%. The CPO sector adjusted, with Dongshan Precision and Jingwang Electronics falling over 7%
