# The half-day trading volume of A-shares exceeded 2 trillion yuan

On the morning of August 25th, the A-shares opened higher with a gap and surged with increased volume, with the market turnover exceeding 2 trillion yuan by midday. As of the lunch break, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.86%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 1.61%, and the ChiNext Index rose by 2.22%. The turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets reached 2.1019 trillion yuan, an increase of 571.3 billion yuan compared to the previous day. In this round of A-share rally, core leading stocks in sectors such as artificial intelligence, chips, and semiconductors played a leading role. In the morning, the chip industry chain opened significantly higher and fluctuated at high levels, with several core stocks hitting new highs, and Cambricon's stock price breaking through 1300 yuan; the real estate and photovoltaic sectors saw significant inflows, with Vanke A hitting the daily limit. Liquor stocks also strengthened simultaneously, with Shede Spirits hitting the daily limit. In terms of individual stocks, Sugon hit the daily limit for the second consecutive trading day
