SAINTY MARINE: The second 1 million kilowatt unit of GuoXin ShaZhou has been put into production

Jiangsu Guoxin announced that its holding subsidiary Jiangsu Guoxin Shazhou Power Generation Co., Ltd. has completed 168 hours of full-load trial operation for its second 1 million kilowatt secondary reheating ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating unit, which will officially commence operation on August 26, 2025. The first 1 million kilowatt unit of Guoxin Shazhou was put into operation on July 8, 2025. Thus, the expansion project of the 2×1 million kilowatt units of Guoxin Shazhou has completed the "dual investment." The electricity generated by the project will mainly be consumed locally in the Suzhou area, effectively alleviating the tight situation of peak electricity demand in the region. The project follows the flexible and adaptable requirements for the construction of a new power system, with a construction of 20% of the most advanced peak shaving capacity. In addition to quickly responding to changes in grid electricity load demand, it will provide adjustment capacity space for the ultra-high voltage green electricity from outside the province and the new energy generation within the province, assisting in the carbon reduction optimization of Jiangsu Province's energy supply structure
