Autonomous driving reaches a critical turning point, with concept stocks averaging a 21.92% increase this year
Autonomous driving technology is reaching a critical turning point from validation to large-scale application. A recent research report released by Huatai Securities points out that the commercial vehicle sector is increasingly focusing on L4-L5 level "one-step" solutions, which have derived four typical scenarios: autonomous taxis; autonomous trucks; last-mile delivery; vertical scenarios and specific scenarios. According to statistics from Securities Times·Data Treasure, there are over 80 concept stocks related to autonomous driving in the A-share market. As of the close on September 5, these concept stocks have averaged a 21.92% increase this year, outperforming the Shanghai Composite Index by more than 8 percentage points. Three stocks have doubled in cumulative gains, namely VeriSilicon, Haowei Automotive, and Shuanglin. In terms of institutional attention, there are 34 autonomous driving concept stocks that have received "positive" ratings from more than 10 brokerage firms. The top five stocks favored by institutions are BYD, Great Wall Motor, Haowei Group, Tuopu Group, and Changan Automobile. Compared to the latest closing prices and the consensus target prices predicted by institutions, 22 stocks have an upside potential of over 10%. Among them, Bertly has the highest upside potential of 51.43%, ranking first, with the company achieving a net profit of 522 million yuan in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 14.19%
