# ThinkonSemi: The 8-inch lightly doped low-defect polished silicon wafer business is still in the customer certification and development phase

On September 10th, at the 2025 semi-annual performance meeting, ThinkonSemi Chairman Pan Liansheng introduced that the target customers for the company's 8-inch lightly doped low-defect polished silicon wafers include TSMC, SMIC, and other domestic and foreign integrated circuit manufacturers. Currently, this business is still in the process of technology optimization and customer certification development, and the actual products are still in the evaluation and certification stage by downstream customers. He pointed out that the current project benefits are temporarily at a gap with the depreciation and amortization brought by fixed asset and intangible asset investments, which has a certain impact on the company's profitability in the short term. However, the company is actively seizing the local supply and demand changes in the Chinese silicon wafer market, responding to the downstream localization demand, and promoting the evaluation and certification of silicon wafer test pieces and actual products with domestic manufacturers
