On September 30th, JTL announced that the company was sentenced to a fine of 8 million yuan for committing securities fraud due to six consecutive years of financial fraud. The then chairman and former actual controller, Ji Wei, was sentenced to six years in prison for the crime of illegally disclosing important information and securities fraud, and was fined 3 million yuan. Five other responsible individuals, including Yuan Xueli, Xu Kunming, and Mao Xinpeng, were also sentenced to prison terms and fines. Previously, in January 2024, JTL and the related responsible individuals had been administratively penalized by the Jiangsu Securities Regulatory Bureau for a total of 5.7 million yuan
