# SHANGHAI KAIBAO: KBZ24020 approved to conduct clinical trials for acute ischemic stroke

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, SHANGHAI KAIBAO (300039.SZ) announced that the company recently received the "Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notification" issued by the National Medical Products Administration. After review, the clinical trial application for KBZ24020 submitted on August 25, 2025, meets the relevant requirements for drug registration. Based on further improvement of the clinical trial protocol, approval has been granted to conduct clinical trials for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.

The prescription for KBZ24020 is derived from clinical experience. Its functions and indications include clearing heat and draining fire, resolving phlegm and reducing turbidity. It is used to treat acute ischemic stroke with phlegm-heat syndrome, characterized by hemiplegia, limb numbness, dizziness, irritability and insomnia, heavy oral odor, sticky phlegm in the mouth, yellow tongue coating, and dry or foul-smelling stools
