Lalamove's latest survey of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) shows that over 60% of respondents believe that the market environment this year has improved compared to 2024. More than half maintain a neutral to optimistic outlook for next year's market conditions, indicating a continued recovery in market confidence. The survey was conducted from September to October, interviewing over 400 business users, with nearly 80% of Hong Kong SMEs expecting an increase in delivery demand in the next six months.

The survey indicates that 2026 will be a year of both opportunities and challenges for SMEs, with nearly half of the surveyed SMEs expecting a dramatic shift in market demand. They pointed out that the main challenges in the next six months will be increasingly fierce market competition (75%) and continuously rising logistics costs (70%). In this context, delivery speed (82%) and high cost-performance ratio (78%) have become key factors for SMEs when choosing logistics partners, with flexible and efficient delivery solutions seen as essential for maintaining competitiveness and controlling logistics costs.

Lalamove's General Manager for Hong Kong, Zhou Jia-jian, stated that this survey reflects that while SMEs are gradually regaining confidence in market prospects, they still face challenges such as intensified market competition and rising logistics costs.

As the year comes to a close, with Christmas and several major events boosting the local economic atmosphere, the delivery demand from SMEs is expected to peak again. Nearly 80% of industry respondents anticipate that delivery demand will continue to increase or even grow significantly in the next six months.

The survey shows that regarding the new services launched by Lalamove this year, respondents from the renovation and construction industry generally believe they are helpful or very helpful for their business, with the most positive evaluations for the cargo van and truck moving services (66.7%) and the board cargo delivery services (57.6%)
