OpenAI announces a partnership with Foxconn
On November 20th local time, OpenAI announced a partnership with Foxconn to jointly advance the design work of next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure hardware and preparations for domestic manufacturing in the United States. As part of the collaboration, OpenAI will share its insights on the emerging hardware needs of the artificial intelligence industry to provide reference for Foxconn's hardware design and development at its U.S. factories. This preliminary agreement does not include any procurement commitments, but OpenAI will have priority evaluation rights and retain options for future purchases. (Jiemian)
