CITIC Securities research report believes that as the performance improvement of computing power chips slows down, the development of artificial intelligence increasingly depends on the scale of data centers. Considering that electricity consumption accounts for more than half of the operating costs of data centers, the AI competition between China and the United States has begun to shift towards electricity competition. The PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of ground data centers is generally around 1.4, while space data centers can theoretically reduce PUE to nearly 1 due to simpler heat dissipation, significantly reducing electricity consumption. By appropriately deploying space solar power stations, the annual generation hours can exceed 8,000 hours, greatly lowering electricity costs. Jointly deploying space data centers and space solar power stations, utilizing high-energy lasers and other means to transmit electrical energy, will effectively solve the energy consumption problem of computing power and break the ceiling of computing power growth, which has become a new trend in the future development of artificial intelligence
