SMIC terminates the sale of its 14.832% stake in SMIC Ningbo

SMIC (00981.HK) announced the termination of the sale of its stake in SMIC Ningbo to Guokewai (300672.SZ), citing that the related matters of this transaction could not be agreed upon within the expected timeframe. After the termination, SMIC still holds a 14.832% stake in SMIC Ningbo.

In June of this year, all parties signed an agreement, where Guokewai intended to acquire a total of 94.366% equity in SMIC Ningbo through the issuance of shares and cash payment
