# The price of electrolyte solvent EC has rebounded, and leading stocks have surged

Following lithium hexafluorophosphate and the electrolyte additive VC (vinylene carbonate), the electrolyte solvent EC (ethylene carbonate) has taken over the price increase "baton." According to reporters, the supply and demand relationship for battery-grade EC is currently in a "tight balance" state, with some manufacturers "limiting orders" and even "suspending quotes." Under the "tight balance" of supply and demand, EC prices have bottomed out and rebounded, and industry profitability is expected to improve. With optimistic expectations, leading A-share companies Hi-Tech Spring and Shinghwa have seen their stock prices rise by over 320% and 140%, respectively, since September of this year.
