They were followed by pharmaceutical companies Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) and Sanofi ( SNY ) , which were up 1.4% each.The decliners from continental Europe were led by medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) , which fell 4.4% and 1.8%, respectively. They were followed by oil and gas companies Eni (E) and TotalEnergies (TTE), which were down 1.7% and 1.2%, respectively.From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by medical device maker Smith &amp; Nephew ( SNN ) and biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) , which advanced 3.1% and 2%, respectively.
