<div id="readability-page-1"><div><p>BMW has expanded charging access for its electric vehicle line-up by enabling compatibility with the Tesla Supercharger network in the United States. Starting today, BMW drivers can use more than 2,000 Tesla sites and over 25,000 individual Superchargers. The move supports the ongoing industry transition to the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and adds to BMW’s existing network partnerships.</p><p>With the inclusion of Superchargers, BMW now provides access to around 180,000 public charging points in North America through networks such as IONNA, Electrify America, ChargePoint and EVgo. All supported stations appear in the vehicle’s navigation system and in the My BMW app via Shell Recharge. Charging sessions at compatible sites can be initiated automatically using Plug &amp; Charge, depending on station capability.</p><p>BMW EVs can charge at Tesla locations in two ways. At NACS-only Superchargers, current-generation models including the i4, i5, i7 and iX require a CCS–NACS DC adapter. BMW-approved adapters will be sold as accessories from the second quarter of 2026. At Superchargers equipped with Tesla’s Magic Dock, a built-in adapter enables charging without additional hardware, allowing older models such as the i3 to use the network. As previously announced, BMW will begin integrating native NACS ports into new vehicles from 2026, starting with the i5 M60 and followed by additional models, including the next-generation iX3.</p><p>Plug &amp; Charge is now supported at Tesla Superchargers for compatible BMW vehicles.
