<div id="readability-page-1"><div><p>Indomobil Energi Baru (IEB), the official importer of Maxus in Indonesia and a subsidiary of the well-known automotive conglomerate Indomobil Group, has formed a strategic collaboration with Grab to supply EVs for the GrabExecutive fleet. A report from Republika describes the deal for 50 units of the Maxus MIFA 9 as only the beginning of this tie-up, indicating Grab will procure more EVs from Maxus for the new service in the future.</p><p>“We appreciate Grab Indonesia’s trust in using the Maxus MIFA 9 as its GrabExecutive service fleet. This collaboration strengthens Maxus’s position in providing premium and sustainable mobility solutions in Indonesia,” said Yudhy Tan, the Chief Operating Officer of IEB.</p><p>The Maxus MIFA 9, which SAIC Motor also sells under its MG and LDV brands in other markets, is a luxury minivan measuring 5,270 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,840 mm in height. The three-row MPV has a 3,200 mm wheelbase, and SAIC Motor offers it in six-, seven-, and eight-seat versions, with plug-in hybrid and pure-electric powertrain options.</p><p>IEB has brought the Maxus MIFA 9 to Indonesia in only one configuration, featuring seven seats in a 2+2+3 layout and a pure-electric powertrain. A front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor draws energy from a 90 kWh NMC battery pack and develops 180 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. This setup delivers an NEDC range of 520 kilometres. Indomobil Group locally assembles the Maxus MIFA 9 from imported CKD kits in Purwakarta, West Java.</p><p>Grab launched GrabExecutive in Indonesia in August, beginning with key locations in Jakarta and Bali. Similar to Uber Black, the new service offers rides in luxury cars, targeting high-income and VIP clients.
