The magnets are strong enough that they won’t accidentally pop off, but you can detach them by pressing a button on their back side. Once detached, the Joy-Con 2 controllers can be used wirelessly. Each Joy-Con 2 has a control stick, four face buttons, a pair of top buttons, and either a “+” or “-” button, which allow you to use each one as a standalone controller. A pair of Joy-Con 2 can also be used simultaneously by one player. </p>  <p>The Joy-Con 2 controllers have a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, which allows them to detect motion. Similarly, each one has a mouse sensor, which you can enable by putting either controller down on a flat surface on its side. Only certain Nintendo Switch 2 games, including <em>Metroid Prime 4: Beyond</em>, have a supported mouse mode. While they look like their predecessors, the Joy-Con 2 controllers are only compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 and cannot be connected to the original Nintendo Switch.</p>  <h2><strong>Three more great deals </strong></h2>  <ul> <li>If you prefer playing games solo, Amazon has marked the Nintendo Switch version of the <em>Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake </em>down to $34.99 ($25 off). The new version of the 1988 classic has an updated art style, improved map, and quality of life tweaks, including the ability to speed up battles. It’s a great choice if you’ve been craving a classic JRPG you can play both at home and on the go. The stereo smart speaker sounded great in our tests and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It’s compatible with Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice Control and works with Apple’s Airplay. You can also connect a turntable or other wired device to it using Sonos’ Line-In Adapter. Sonos says its refurbished gear goes through thorough testing, comes newly packaged, and is backed by its standard warranty. The Tread can reach temperatures up to 950 degrees Fahrenheit and has enough space to cook a 12-inch pizza — or other foods that can be prepared on cast iron.
