# Price Trends in the Aluminum Industry Chain Show Divergence

The main contract for alumina futures in the domestic futures market, 2601, has fallen below the 2,500 yuan/ton mark, becoming the commodity with the largest decline of the day. As a core material for electrolytic aluminum, the current price of alumina has "halved" compared to the high point of 5,500 yuan/ton a year ago. Meanwhile, the price of downstream electrolytic aluminum continues to rise under the strong pull of non-ferrous commodities, breaking through recent highs, creating a "polarized" situation between the alumina market and electrolytic aluminum.
