WeRide and Uber launch Robotaxi public operation service
On December 12th, WeRide and Uber announced the official launch of Robotaxi public operation services in Dubai through the Uber App, in collaboration with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). It is understood that since the announcement of the cooperation between WeRide and Uber in Dubai in April this year, both parties have jointly carried out pilot and road testing work, and will subsequently promote large-scale expansion in the Middle East, planning to deploy thousands of Robotaxis internally in the coming years.
